Description
This vessel was built in Copenhagen in 1838 as the Prebene. Petersen actually painted her at the time and that work is now at Museet for Søfart (Maritime Museum of Denmark). Unfortunately, the website only has an old black-and-white photo of it. Photo at mfs.dk.
In 1851, the brig got new owners and was probably named Cora at that time. In 1870 she was sold to owners in Dragør, Denmark and she was lost in a gale in November 1872. Description (in Danish) at jmarcussen.dk.
