« Cet ex-voto a été offert à sainte Anne par Anne Robineau de Bécancour, fille du baron de Portneuf, René Robineau de Bécancour. Anne est entrée chez les Ursulines en 1689. » – Alex Tremblay

« Avant d'entrer au monastère des Ursulines, la fille du seigneur de Portneuf avait mené une vie de cour à la hauteur de son rang. vêtue de ses plus beaux atours, arborant une coiffe de dentelle très fine, elle s'agenouille au pied d'une sainte Anne et d'une Vierge enfant aux coloris plus sombres. Ce type d'ex-voto surérogatoire ne poursuit aucun but particulier sinon d'offrir un cadeau à Dieu. » – Madeleine Landry, Robert Derome
