Description
English: Woodcut illustration for the story "Jacques de Caumont" by Sabine Baring-Gould, in Once a Week magazine, volume 6, page 614. This illustration accompanied a story of a young boy, Jacques de Caumont, who survives the persecution of the Huguenots in France in the 16th century. He appears on the right peeking out upon a scene in which he discovers the murder of his elder brother.
