Description
English: Antique map of Jafnapatnam and adjacent islands (copper engraving). The province of Jaffna , and specially the fort at Jaffnapatnam were the last Portuguese holdings in Ceylon before they were driven out by the Dutch in 1658. printed in 1672 for Baldaeus' work 'A true and exact description of the most celebrated East-India coasts of Malabar and Coromandel and also of the Isle of Ceylon', published in Amsterdam in 1672 by Jansssonius van Waasberge en van Someren.
