Přezdívaný "Nepolapitelný Jan" uprchl za hranice protektorátu. Později příslušník Svazu letců svobodného Československa, bývalý příslušník RAF. Fotografie z období před rokem 1945. English: Jan Smudek (1915–99) anti-fascist Czech hero, member of domestic (non-Communist) part of resistance in the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia. Nicknamed "The Elusive Jan". He fled beyond the borders of the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia. Later, he was a member of the Airmen Association of Free Czechoslovakia, a former member of the RAF. Photograph from the period before 1945.
