Jasminum sambac is a species of Jasmine native to India. It is a small shrub growing 0.5-3m in height. The fruit is a purple/black berry 1 cm in diameter.

Jasmine flowers are popularly used to flavour teas and in the making of perfumes. It is a good houseplant as it grows well both in sun and semi-shade.
