| Description |
English: The Jaswant Thada is a cenotaph located in Jodhpur, in the Indian state of Rajasthan. It was built by Maharaja Sardar Singh of Jodhpur State in 1899 in memory of his father, Maharaja Jaswant Singh 2, and serves as the cremation ground for the royal Rajput family of Marwar.
.Located on the top of the plateau, calm, serene and great place to sit and admire beauty. It is surrounded by some great Gardens and lots of smaller pray areas, each meant as an abode for different diety / ritual. Or simply open for meditation and picnics. Also it's right next to a small pond that reportedly attracts a horde of migratory birds. The photo has been taken from the entrance way of the monument.
