Français : L'Annonciation est située à l'intérieur de la sainte chapelle de Bourges. L'ange Gabriel est agenouillé en face de la Vierge qui l'écoute, recueillie, tandis que la colombe du Saint-Esprit plane au-dessus d'elle. Marie est assise à terre sur un tapis entre deux livres, l'un fermé, l'autre ouvert, symboles respectivement de l'Ancien et du Nouveau Testament. Fouquet les a inscrits dans les lignes de fuite qui convergent toutes vers la statue de Moïse tenant les Tables de la Loi, derrière l'autel, surmonté d'une énorme châsse.

Français : Miniature découpée dans le livre d'heures sans doute au cours du XVIIIe siècle et montées sur une planchette de bois par un menuisier encadreur parisien. Collection Georges Brentano en 1809. Acquis par le duc d'Aumale auprès de son fils Louis en 1891.
Exhibition history
Français : Présenté dans le Santuario du musée depuis 1897, interdit de sortie du château de Chantilly en raison des conditions du don du duc d'Aumale.
