Summary edit

Description
English: Jed Yord Temple was built in the reign of King Tiloga Raja, the 9th King of Mang Rai Dynasty (B.E. 1984-2030) (1441-1487). It was constructed during the period of B.E. 1998-1999 (1455-1456). After listening to the preaching on results of the planting of Bhodi trees he ordered to plant Maha Bodhi trees which were brought from Lanka in the forest area of the town. The temple was built using Maha Bohi trees as a Bohi Bench as a symbol of the enlightenment of the Buddha which is the center of the temple. Therefore this temple was called in the ancient time the “Maha Bhodharam Temple or Bhodharam Maha Vihara Temple.”
