Description
English: Jens Styding was a navigator and ship's master, who also did ship portraits. This one tells the story of the brigantine Comet, captained by his brother Peter Styding. The brother died near the Cap Verde islands and was buried on one of them ("The Eastern Saltbay on the Salt land"). Pen and watercolour, 20 x 32 cm. Åbenrå Museum.
