Description
English: Depiction of the traditional outdoor celebration of Κούλουμα or Koulouma (or Columa, etymologically from Columna < columns, i.e. the depicted columns of the Greco-Roman temple of the Olympian Zeus in Athens) on Clean Monday in 1834. Koulouma marks the beginning of the 40-day fasting period until Easter Sunday.
