The funeral of John Lindauer, was held Thursday, at 2 P.M. from the home of D. O. Fry, at Lewis Center, which has been his home during recent recent years. Interment was made in Turbotville cemetery. Six of the grandsons were pallbearers. Reverend Clayton Hill of Baptist church officiated. Mr. Lindauer who was 87 years old is the last living veteran of the Civil War in this community and is survived by four daughters and two sons, thirty-two grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. The G.A.R. of Milton expected to attend, the funeral funeral services but owing to the inclement weather have postponed their services until a later date, owing to the snow drifts which made the roads practically impassable for anything but sleds. A number of the friends and many relatives were unable to attend.
