Description |
English: Typed document, black text on white paper. War Department Gettysburg National Park Commission Gettysburg, Pa. April 1 1912 General L. L. Lomax Dear General: I enclose copies of letters directed to Colonel Smith, at the Metropolitan Hotel, Washington, D.C. The expression of opinion is unquestionably in violation of the rule of the Department, and it was understood in the previous correspondence that it would not be insisted upon. I would ask you there- fore to have an interview with Colonel Smith, and let me know the decision. Yours truly, John P. Nicholson Chairman 4 Enclosures
