Nederlands: Accreditatie door president George Washington ten behoeve van John Quincy Adams als ambassadeur van de Verenigde Staten in Den Haag, als opvolger van zijn vader John Adams. De brief is gericht aan Willem V, Prins van Oranje-Nassau, de stadhouder van Nederland. Opvallend spreekt George Washington de prins aan als zijn "Zeer goede vriend".
English: Accreditation by President George Washington on behalf of John Quincy Adams as ambassador of the United States in The Hague, the Netherlands, as the successor of his father John Adams. The letter is addressed to William V, Prince of Orange-Nassau, the governor of the Netherlands. Strikingly, George Washington addresses the prince as his "Very good friend".
