Summary edit

Description
Flag of Jordan
This is a photo of a monument in Jordan identified by the ID
ID Petra or ID Deir or ID MN-01. Petra, Khaznat el-Faroun or Pharaoh's treasury, perhaps the most famous building in Petra. The monument's Arabic name derives from a local legend according to which the urn at the top of the facade is supposed to contain treasures left by a Pharaon. El-Khazneh's fame is fully justified by the extremely high quality of its "baroque" architecture and sophistications of the carving on the facade.
