Some fifty-eight years ago there was born in Lakeville, Con-necticut, a little son to Dr. and Mrs. Henry Martyn Knight. Hereceived family names of George Henry and grew up in his nativeplace as most country boys do, learning a good deal about farm-ing, a great deal about horses, more than ordinary boys do, andabove all, he learned to know and have a kindly feeling for thefeeble-minded and imbecile children in his fathers excellentschool. The outline of the boys life from the time he gave up child-hoods fun and frolic, till he laid it down beloved and honored, isbrief.
