DescriptionJuancheng meteorite, individual.jpg | Juancheng fell on February 15, 1997 in Shandong Province, China. It is an H5 chondrite. The fall was preceded by a brilliant fireball and loud, resonating explosions. Juancheng is a hammer as one stone reportedly struck and penetrated a roof and landed in a pot on the stove! This was a large fall producing more than 1000 stones and ~100 kgs TKW. This beautiful individual weighs 13.22 grams and is 100% fusion crusted. Based on the quality and color of the crust it appears to have been rescued from the elements shortly after falling. | ||
