Summary edit

Description JunoCam image of Jupiter's south pole, taken from an altitude of 97,000 km. This image primarily captures Jupiter's South Polar Hood and its Folded Filamentary Regions (FFRs). The Great Red Spot is visible on the horizon near top center. Immediately to its south is Oval BA. Although known as 'the Little Red Spot' after gaining a bright red color in 2006, Oval BA has been largely colorless (a feauter typical of Jupiter's other anticyclonic systems, or 'white ovals'), since Juno's arrival in 2016.
