Three storey corner building. Nicknamed as Ungár-Mayer Palace. Built to tennement house. Planned by Ede Magyar. Late Art Nouveau style, Historicist. Highly decorated with building ornaments. Staircase decorated with stuccos and wrought iron railing. On its facade: 'Our Borderless Art Nouveau Culture' Interreg-IPA CBC Hungary-Serbia trilingual plaque AND here lived plaque to Ernő Kiss (1925–2005) violinist, music educator, conductor - 16 Kárász Street=21 Somogyi Street, Dugonics Square, Belváros (Inner City) neighborough, Szeged, Csongrád-Csanád County, Hungary.

Háromemeletes, sarki bérház/bérpalota. Tervező Magyar EdeA késői szecesszió historizmus stílusában épült 1910-11 között. A bonyolult erkélyrendszerrel tagolt, gazdagon díszített utcai homlokzat. Hatalmas, kupolaszerű kettős saroktorony, lágy íveivel, díszítettségével városképileg meghatározó jelentőségű. A földszint vasbeton-szerkezetű üzlethelyiségeit nagyvonalú, a modern építészetet előlegező kialakítás jellemzi. Stukkókkal, kovácsoltvas korlátokkal és díszítőelemekkel kialakított szecessziós lépcsőház. Az egyik üzlethelyiség mennyezetét borító festett stukkódísz a szecesszió magas színvonalú épületdíszítő művészetéről tanúskodik. Bejárat mellett emléktábla: E házban élt Kiss Ernő (1925–2005) zenetanár, karnagy, zenei polihiszter 1962-től haláláig//Szeged Megyei Jogú Város Önkormányzat//Újszeged Kamarazenekar Baráti Köre Egyesület//2015. - Félalakok dombormű c. aloktások a sarok virágforma? kupolán horganylemezből készült karjukat széttáró nőalakok[1]; a földszinten nagy üvegkirakatú üzlethelyiségek voltak a Corso Kávéház, majd 1926-tól Dreher Sörcsarnok későbbi Salamander üzlet mennyezetén színes szecessziós gipszstukkó díszítéseket nőalakokat, virágmintákat láthatunk.[2] - 'Ungár-Mayer-palota' műemlék azonosító: 11803, törzsszám: 11272 És 'Kárász u. 3-11., 13-17., 2-4., 6-12., 14-16.' cím helyi védelem alatt álló Együttesnek 'Térfalak' néven azonosító: -9295 - Szeged, Belváros, Kárász utca 16.=Somogyi (Béla) utca 21. helyrajzi szám: 3875/5.
