Description

English: karst spring, West Arkadia, Peloponnese, south of Dimitsana in 855 m. The spring and the village are situated in the high wooded Arcadian’s mountain range Mainalo. The spring’s abundant water runs down the very steep escarpment of the gorge of river Lousios and ends up in the river. In pre-industrial time the water powered several mills. In 1997 the water power facilities were restored in their old functions instructive for the outdoor museum “Waterway Museum, Dimitsana”.
