Description
Deutsch: "Himmelsstürmer" vor dem Kasseler Kulturbahnhof Auf dem Platz vor dem Kulturbahnhof in Kassel (Hauptbahnhof) steht der Himmelsstürmer (Man walking to the sky) des Künstlers Jonathan Borofsky, realisiert zur documenta 1992. Das Stahlrohr mit dem himmelwärts schreitenden Mann ist 25 Meter lang. Aufgrund des großen Anklangs bei den Kasseler Bürgern wurde das Kunstwerk von der Stadt Kassel für 585.000 DM angekauft. Die Kaufsumme wurde durch eine Bürgerinitiative, verschiedene Spendenaktionen und öffentliche Gelder aufgebracht.
