English: NIDA health scientist administrator Dr. Kathy Etz (l) was presented with the 2018 Advances in Culture and Diversity in Prevention Science Award in Washington, D.C., at the recent 26th annual meeting of the Society for Prevention Research. Etz was nominated for her outstanding contributions to advancing the field of prevention science. She was recognized for her work to enhance the understanding of culture in prevention science and the development and adaptation of effective prevention strategies for traditionally underserved and/or underrepresented populations, including racial and ethnic minorities. Presenting the award is SPR president Dr. Leslie Leve. |
