English: Hurricane Kenneth becomes the fourth tropical system on record to form in the eastern Pacific Ocean after November 18, and the second-latest hurricane after Hurricane Winnie on December 5, 1983. Because of uncharacteristically low wind shear for this time of the year, Kenneth is forecast to attain Major Hurricane status in the next 24-36 hours, making it the latest major hurricane in the eastern North Pacific basin in the satellite era.
