Kigali Kaffi is a small non-chain café off the main street of Laugarvegur in Reykjavík Iceland (Ingólfsstræti 8) which was acquired on November 22nd, 2013 and subsequently opened officially on January 27th, 2014 by a rwandan born Mr Augustin Dufatanye (aka Auggie Duffy).

The mission of this tiny little shop has been to import fresh green coffee beans from the volcanic hills of Western Rwanda where the farmers' cooperative is predominantly composed of women, due to the horrific genocide that wiped a large number of men, thus facilitating a trade model that sits on a "farmer-to-customer" brand with the echoing slogan of: "Best for you - best for me".

The response from this project has not only brought clients in the Nordic hemisphere to the unique coffee taste of the Great-Lakes region of Africa, but it has increasingly contributed to the awareness of a fast developing African nation that only two decades ago was lying on the ruins of her shattered social fabric.
