Description
English: The leading candidates for the Democratic Party nomination in the 1914 Pennsylvania gubernatorial election were Vance C. McCormick and Michael J. Ryan. The Harrisburg Telegraph, a newspaper which supported the Republican Party, published this cartoon by Joseph A. Warlow on 13 April 1914, showing Republican supporters laughing at the infighting between supporters of McCormick and Ryan, symbolized by the fabled Kilkenny cats, who fought each other till only their tails remained.
