Description
English: Kilmory Castle, Lochgilphead This large 19th century building is also known as Kilmory House, and currently contains the headquarters of Argyll and Bute Council. A house probably stood here from the 14th century, rebuilt and extended over the years. Much of the old building was demolished around 1829, and the remainder incorporated into this building. It was designed by Joseph Gordon Davis for Sir John Orde.
