Summary edit

Description
English: King's Stables Lane. These buildings appear to date from the early 1800s when the area was a shambles (slaughter-house). The notorious West Port murderers, Burke and Hare, would almost certainly have passed by these buildings on their way to and from the Hares' lodging house in Tanner's Close. 1315862
