English: King Henry I Burial Plaque Not quite as appears. King Henry was buried beneath the long demolished North Transept of the Abbey Church. The exact spot would be close to St James's Roman Catholic Church in Forbury Road. The Plaque was unveiled for the 800th anniversary of the founding of the abbey in 1921. The plaque is situated next to the south transept on a boundary wall. |
