English: Kingfisher Trail and the N3 Could this bit of road be the most dangerous section in the entire National Cycle Network? The Kingfisher Trail, the first long-distance cycle route to be established in Ireland crosses and recrosses the border in a 270 Km long figure of eight. At this point a short way south of Belturbet, the route follows a busy narrow winding 500 metre section of the N3 (the main road from Dublin to Ballyshannon) which is quite unfit for cyclists. |
