Description Architectural detail at Kings House, Queen's Gardens/Grand Avenue, Hove, City of Brighton and Hove, England. Built in 1871–74 as a hotel to the deisgn of James Knowles; later the headquarters of the SEEBOARD electricity company; subsequently used as offices by Brighton & Hove City Council. The main part of the building is Grade II-listed; the extension to the rear (unlisted) was built in 1979–81 and demolished in 2020 (see Category:Kings House, Hove (north wing) for images of this part and its demolition).
