Summary edit

Description
English: A traditional hot boiled beverage from the shrub Combretum micranthum shown here with boiled leaves in a popular type of pot reserved by families for this purpose as the boiled leaves stains the pots. Usually served hot in inexpensive plastic or enamel cups, but here also poured in clear glasses to display the hot beverage's gorgeous color. Can be served plain or with sugar and/or milk to personal preference and availability. In the Sahel region, predates the introduction of tea and coffee and remains popular.
