| Description |
English: Kirkstyle. Kirkstyle is possibly one of the oldest buildings in Eaglesham. The cottage is said to be of seventeenth century origin and probably rebuilt in 1770 with later alterations. The 25-inch 1st edition Ordnance Survey map of Eaglesham (1863) indicates Kirkstyle to be a smithy. Polnoon Lodge 1450255 was built in the early eighteenth century and pre-dates the development of the planned village in 1769. |
