Deutsch: Dreizehenmöwen (Rissa tridactyla) sind auf Spitzbergen weit verbreitet; etwa 270 000 Brutpaare finden sich hier im Sommer. Sie ruhen oft in größeren Schwärmen auf Eisschollen vor Gletscherfronten und pflegen ihr Gefieder in der Mauser.
English: Kittiwakes Rissa tridactyla are common on Svalbard; approximately 270,000 pairs usually breed here in summer. They are often found in front of the glaciers sitting on ice floes taking care for their plumage during their moult.
