Als fruchtbare und klimatisch begünstigte »Gemüse-Insel« beliefert sie heute halb Deutschland; als Kulturzentrum war sie in karolingischer Zeit (etwa 640 - 987) eines der geistigen Zentren des gesamten Abendlandes. - Renoviertes Wohnhaus im Ortskern von Mittelzell. |
