Русский: Сочинение Карла Алярда, изданное в Голландии в 1705 году под названием "Корабельные флаги" и отпечатанное на русском языке в 1709 году, является одним из наиболее ранних трудов по вексиллологии. В частности, в данном сочинении приведено описание трех "Московских" флагов, что является наиболее ранним указанием иностранцев на русские флаги. В 1911 году в рамках Особого Совещания для выяснения вопроса о русских государственных национальных цветах, данная книга была переиздана под названием "Книга о флагах", в котором приведена только часть, описывающая флаги, трактаты о строении судов были исключены.
English: Karl Alyard's work, published in Holland in 1705 under the title "Ship flags" and printed in Russian in 1709, is one of the earliest works on vexillology. In particular, this essay contains a description of three "Moscow" flags, which is the earliest indication of Russian flags by foreigners. In 1911, within the framework of a Special Meeting to clarify the issue of Russian state national colors, this book was republished under the title "The Book of Flags", in which only the part describing the flags is given, treatises on the structure of ships were excluded.
