"Du sammelst doch Fotoapparate? Ich hätte da etwas ..." Auf diese Weise hat sich bei mir auch eine Kiste voll mit Instamatic- Pocket- und Plastikkameras angesammelt. Ein paar davon möchte ich nun doch vorstellen. Von Kodaks "Knips"-Filmformaten hat sich eigentlich nur die 126er Kassette einigermaßen durchgesetzt. Obwohl dieses System nicht gerade für anspruchsvolle Fotografie gedacht war, gab es doch auch Beispiele für höherwertige Kassetten-Kameras. Besonders Kodak selbst und Rollei taten sich hierbei hervor. Sie kamen mit je einer High-End Sucher-Kamera und einer Spiegelreflexkamera für das Instamatic-Format auf den Markt. Von 1963 bis 1966 stellte Kodak Deutschland ist diese Instamatic 500 her. Die Zahl deutet auf die kürzeste Verschlusszeit dieser Edel-Kassettenkamera hin. Der vollwertige Compur-Verschluss ging nämlich von 1/30 bis 1/500 Sekunde und B, die Blende von 2,8 bis 22 und die kürzeste einstellbare Entfernung betrug 70 cm. Der Gossen-Belichtungsmesser war mit Blende und Verschlusszeit gekuppelt: man musste einen Zeiger im Sucher (der durch einen Leuchtrahmen begrenzt war) für korrekte Belichtung in Mittelstellung bringen. Bei meinem Exemplar funktioniert das noch einwandfrei. Zum Filmtransport bewegte man kein Rändelrad wie sonst üblich, sondern ein kurzer Schwung am Transporthebel schaltete ein Bild weiter. Das Objektiv war ein Schneider Xenar 2,8/38 mm (Tessar-Typ), spielte also durchaus in einer höheren Klasse. Es war übrigens versenkbar, ein kurzer Druck auf einen Knopf am Kameraboden ließ es wieder hervorschnellen. Blitzanschluss über Mitten- und Kabelkontakt, Stativgewinde und Drahtauslöseranschluss ergänzten die eindrucksvolle Ausstattung dieser Kamera. Das Gehäuse ist aus Metall und dadurch nicht gerade ein Leichtgewicht, fast 400 g bringt es auf die Waage. Das verstärkt natürlich auch das Gefühl, etwas Hochwertiges in der Hand zu halten. Man musste damals 278,- DM für dieses feine Stück auf den Tisch blättern. |
