Description
English: Plaster casts in the Royal Swedish Academy of Arts, Stockholm, Sweden, at the entrance at Fredsgatan stands the wild boar. The two sculptures, "The Lion and the Wild Boar", are part of a larger collection of ancient sculptures, managed by the Academy of Fine Arts since its creation in 1735. The old lion is believed to be dated to the first century after Christ. The wild boar was found during an excavation in Rome along with other sculptures, which formed a hunting scene.
Svenska: Konstakademiens gipser, vid entrén från Fredsgatan står vildsvinet. De två skulpturerna "Lejonet och vildsvinet" ingår i en större samling antika skulpturer, som förvaltas av Konstakademien alltsedan dess tillkomst 1735. Det antika lejonet tros vara daterad till första århundradet efter Kristus. Vildsvinet hittades vid en utgrävning i Rom tillsammans med andra skulpturer, vilka bildade en jaktscen.
