Korail Temple stay Train Songgwangsa Temple jogyemun(Jogyemun Gate) – The Jogyemun is the first gate to Songgwangsa, which is why is also known as Iljumun(One Pillar Gate). This gate was first built near the end of the Silla Period, and was repaired and rebult in 1310, 1464, and 1802. The present is presumed to be built in 8102, based on its style. The Stone animals located on either side of the steps are ambiguous in form and seem to be either monkeys or lions. Passing through this gate signifies that one has put down their carnal and worldly desires as well as their distracted souls to enter the world of truth, and one should act and think in a pious manner.
