Le krishnattam ou krishnanattam – selon la transcription phonétique du sanscrit – une forme spectaculaire rituelle, gardant valeur d’offrande, dans le temple de Guruvayur, au Kerala, se traduirait par « le jeu de Krishna ». Le personnage central, Krishna, un avatar du dieu Vishnu, lui même considéré comme une divinité primordiale, s’exprime par la musique, le chant, la danse et des gestes d’une grande élégance. extrait du site officiel
