Description
Italiano: Kylix di Eufronio. Incontro tra Elena e Menelao al cospetto di Eros che disarma il re di Sparta (si vede la spada di quest'ultimo che cade a terra) inizialmente intenzionato a vendicare il tradimento di sua moglie. La parte superiore della scena, con il volto di Menelao e il tronco di Eros, appartiene ad un frammento rivenuto dopo l'assemblaggio delle varie parti della kylix ad opera del Getty Museum dove essa si trovava prima della restituzione del reperto allo Stato italiano. Quest'ultimo frammento - anch'esso ora conservato presso il museo di Cerveteri - non è stato ancora integrato al resto della ricostruzione della kylix: l'immagine qui pubblicata è un'elaborazione grafica che accosta il frammento superiore alla parte inferiore dell'incontro tra Elena e Menelao, quest'ultima già inserita nell'assemblaggio del Getty Museum
