English: Palais de la Bahia, Marrakech
"Le Palais de la Bahia, situé à Marrakech, est un chef-d'œuvre de l'architecture marocaine dont la construction remonte à la fin du XIXe siècle, comme la plupart des palais arabo-andalous, il renferme de beaux jardins et de jolis patios, et comporte 150 chambres richement décorées. La construction du palais a été entreprise par l’architecte marocain El Mekki pour le compte du grand vizir Ahmed ben Moussa dit Ba Hmad (1841-1900) pour y loger ses 4 épouses et ses 24 concubines. Sous le Protectorat français, le général Lyautey, alors résident général, en fit son domicile. Le Palais de la Bahia, comme beaucoup de bâtiments historiques de cette époque au Maroc, est dans un état de conservation très dégradé. Un programme de restauration est annoncé pour 2011.
