Description

Le pont des dragons / Zmajski most (détail) Ljubljana, Slovénie

Ce pont situé au-dessus de la rivière Ljubljanica est proche du marché central et de la cathédrale Saint-Nicolas

Terminé en 1901, alors que la ville faisait encore partie de l'empire austro-hongrois, il est de style Secession (art nouveau viennois). C'est le premier pont à avoir été construit en béton armé (ingénieur autrichien : Josef Melan)

Son ornementation, devenue célèbre, a été conçue par Jurij Zaninovich qui a placé quatre dragons aux extrémités des balustrades (le dragon est le symbole de la ville de Ljubljana).
