Français : Titre : Hué, 1907 – Léon Sogny, garde principal de la Garde Indigène Notice : Léon Sogny a 27 ans ; il arbore ses premières décorations annamites, au début de sa carrière. La Garde Indigène des Territoires Militaires, comme celle qui sert dans les provinces du Delta, est une force de police organisée en brigades, à raison d’une par Territoire Militaire. Chaque brigade a une composition variable suivant les besoins. Elle comprend en moyenne, outre le cadre français, quelque 120 indigènes. Les chefs européens de la Garde Indigène se recrutent parmi les anciens sous-officiers de l’armée active, agréés et nommés par le Gouverneur Général. Ils ont une hiérarchie particulière.
