Frederick Lambart, 9th Earl of Cavan wrote two books, each describing Mediterranean voyages on the steam yacht Roseneath The first entitled With the Yacht, Camera, and Cycle in the Mediterranean (1895), 95 plates describes a cruise in the winter of 1894–95 beginning in Gibraltar, and the second titled With the Yacht, Camera, and Cycle in Eastern Waters (1897), 58 plates and 1 folding map describing a cruise in the winter of 1895–96 from Leghorn to Constantinople. This map from the second book shows the routes of both voyages. Note: The colours, contrast and appearance of these illustrations are unlikely to be true to life. They are derived from scanned images that have been enhanced for machine interpretation and have been altered from their originals.
