Summary edit

Description

Stamp of the Principality of Liechtenstein; 1973; definitive stamp of the issue "Landscapes - IV"; stamp drawing with a view to a landscape at the "Mittagsspitz" near Balzers; mint stamp
Note: Often is descripted the "Mittagsspitz" as mountain of the Falknis-massif, but the maps of this area don't show a body of water around this mountain. (probably a misunderstanding concerning a mountain of the same name) At the "Mittagsspitz" near Balzers is flowing the "Trübbach" as little tributary to the Rhine (river). There is running the contemporary Liechtenstein/Swiss-border. Possibly, the body of water in the foreground of this stamp motive is the Rhine.
Stamp: Michel: No. 586; Yvert et Tellier: No. 525; Scott: No. 521
Color: multicolored (blackish Prussian blue / light ultramarine colors) on liminescent paper
Watermark: none
Nominal value: 70 (Rappen, Centimes)
Postage validity: from 7 June 1973 until ?
