Description LOT 10469-11: USS Kanawha, cutting out a blockade runner from under the guns at Fort Morgan. Note, There is no record of Kanawha capturing a steam blockade runner as depicted here, though she took several prizes while enforcing the blockade of Mobile Bay. Stewart, an Engineer in the U.S. Navy during the War of the Rebellion, compliments of the William Cramp and Sons Ship and Engine Building Company to Colonel W.B.
