Description
Français : On retrouve, en arrière plan, la volière et la porcherie commentées dans la photographie précédente. L'usage du tamis (et senné, en bigourdan) était habituel pour la distribution biquotidienne des grains aux poules dans la basse cour. Celles ci, toutes de couleur blanche, sont de race Wyandotte, race mixte (pour la production d'œufs et pour la chair) améliorée, à crête fraisée et tarses jaunes, d'origine américaine. Ce détail est significatif d'un début de modernité (achat de lots de poussins d'élevage de 1 jour à des sélectionneurs) introduit par la maîtresse de maison de l'époque.
