Summary edit

Description
English: The larger protein, lactoferrin, is an immune-defense protein that prevents iron uptake from bacterial proteins, such as siderophores, the smaller protein. Lactoferrin is able to do this by binding to iron with a higher binding affinity than most iron-binding proteins.
