Summary edit

Description Flowerheads are 3-7 cm long. Spikelets are trimorphic and form clusters. Clusters of 1-3 sterile spikelets are common; each spikelet being 4-8-flowered. Less common are clusters of 0-1 sterile spikelets per cluster; each spikelet being 1-2-flowered. Fertile spikelets are solitary and 2-flowered.
