| Description |
English: Landslip in the cliffs east of Hanover Point This landslip is in the cliffs at the western end of Brook Bay, just east of Hanover Point. The toddler running past gives an idea of scale. The mudstones and sandstones that make up this cliff are from the Wealden group, a Cretaceous deposit older than the chalk that makes up the prominent ridge of hills across the Isle of Wight. These cliffs and the beach below are famous for their dinosaur fossils. |
